Heathrow Pods Timelapse

Heathrow airport Terminal 5 uses futuristic and unique PRT pods to shuttle passengers from a business car park to the terminal. This video shows the sometimes complex movement of these pod cars all running autonomously.

Great film. Why hasn't Ultra ever done that for themselves? It was interesting at the distant car part station looking at the empty movements. Am I right that those vehicles sitting in the queue to enter the station that then bypassed it were going over the bridge to the other station? I really like the freeze frame of the plane landing and the split screen at the end. I see you have another video on the the ULTra Pods so more to enjoy. BTW: I've just turn on notifications for your channel after I realised I hadn't seen one in a while. KZbin stopped putting them where I could see them even though I am subscribed. Edit: I wonder what will happen to the system when they build the third runway at Heathrow. From what I've seen its being built to the north-west so the ULTra PRT will be right in the way of the connecting taxiways between the new runway and the terminals.

Tim J. I appreciate the comments! Yes, you are right that the queued pods either go to station B or across the bridge to Station A. I do have several videos of the Heathrow Global PRT system on my channel. KZbin is strange when it comes to presenting new videos to users. Many videos from people I subscribe to unfortunately go unnoticed for a while.
