Ender 5 Pro. My heating bed is getting to 45 degrees. Nozzle gets to 160 degrees then alarms go off and I get E1 code and it shuts down. I just took out of package and put together. I have not even been able to test print.

Hello Jon, I'm pretty sure it has a wrongly connected cable, but if it's a new unit, you should ask for a replace, regards!

@@Ariel-L-Santana it was a faulty wire. Luckily I was able to buy both the heat core and thermistor. Cheap products for $400

I am getting the weirdest error I've seen and its because there's no clear answer ( Heating failed: E1 PRINTER HALTED Please Reset)... I ve done as on the previus comments but no matter what it doesn't work. from changing the thermistor to changing the heat end more than once, but it neither keep the temperature bouncing up and down or it just go all the way up and I get again that frustrating Heating failed: E1 PRINTER HALTED Please Reset) error. PLEASE HELP!!!

Check if heat block wires are loose or broken. Do not ovetiighten the glass filament wires...only hand tighten. If broken can use electrical tape.

Check cable termistrator in sensor, the cable melts repair or replace the cable thermistor and do not let the cable touch the hot nozzles

i had the same problem also and happened at the middle of the print which sucks , but i notice that i didn't have enough power going to the printer from the outlet, i was using a very thin power cord and wasn't sending enough power to printer , also in my outlet had to many electronics connected at the same time , try a different outlet dedicated for the 3d printer only and is working fine since

I had the same problem on my ender 5 plus. I fixed it just by cleaning the whole heat block with a metal toothbursh

the hotbed thermistor must be plugged into the hotend thermistor port on the mainboard , so that you can see the hotend temp is increasing but no target temp ( it should not do this ) , actually the hotbed is heating but the temp is not increasing exchange them ( on the mainobard ) will solve the issue
