How come you do that thing so many “pony” musicians do where they avoid using any pony references in their music? Not one mention of her name “spitfire,” no mention of “wonderbolts,” and you didn’t even say the word “pony.” You left the song intentionally vague as if to appeal to non-bronies.

Dude Horse Whether or not I have explicit pony references depends on the song, actually. My approach with lyrics is I just write what I feel and whatever happens, happens. If you look at my last few released pony songs this year, you’ll find songs with pony references in them. If you get the chance to check them out, hope you enjoy them ^^

Dude Horse I just remember when writing the lyrics, I planned what I wanted to say in each part of the song. I sort of let the words write themselves at that point. Like I said, it’s not a conscious decision I make. I just write what I feel in the way I think it should be said in the song. Sorry if that’s not the most clear answer, but I’m being honest ^^
