When our kids spread their wings it is a little worrisome for us. My boys are 41 & 44, and I still worry when I know they are headed off somewhere. They went hunting yesterday, out of town, up in the mountains, and of course my head goes to bears and cougars. It really never does go away. ha

Oh yes- I definitely notice my belly is bigger when I’m eating more bread. I can’t cut bread but I try to not eat as MUCH as I want and it’s better. Can’t wait to hear about Izzy’s trip when she’s back! My oldest will travel like that.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen you with your nails painted, unless I’ve just not been observant enough! Lol 😂 it suits you!

Imo! you worry me far more than Izzy does...you are always wandering about on canal banks, through lonely spots and woodlands on your own...Na..dont worry about Izzy...you are the one who takes the risks!!! LOL

Way to go Izzy! I know it must be worrisome for you but I hope it was a great little trip for Izzy. At 21 I went all the way to New York on my own and it’s still one of my favourite trips. To this day I really enjoy a little solo travel/gig

Oh! I went to Bath as part of a tour group a few years ago! We didn't stay long just a few hours, just enough time to go to the Roman baths and explore the central area. Next time though I'll go for a longer time since it's just a quick train ride from Paddington station

I really detest backed-up traffic, especially when you have to be somewhere at a specific time! When I see your indoor temperature at 85F, I am glad we have AC in our home. I am like IB, I don't like the heat either. Are they closing the M4 at 10pm for repairs?
@PlanetImo Жыл бұрын
Yeah - maintenance works, I presume :) Thanks, David

Also, I hope Izzy has a nice trip! I remember going to london when I was 17 with two of my friends and my mum being just as nervous as you but we had a whale of a time and I’m sure Izzy will too!

Carbs are well known for bloating. Some people suffer badly with it. I'm amazed that Izzy hasn't had more trips on her own by now. Hope she has a lovely time x

As soon as the inside temp gets to 23.. the a/c comes on. I've heard before on your vlogs mentions about the highway closes at 10. Is there a reason for that? Looks like a beautiful little town, again, such beautiful buildings.

They're doing roadworks over night when the traffic volume would be low. It's bad luck for all the musicians coming back from gigs and other night shift workers. x

My hubbie has been complaining that his waist is expanding and he and I are trying to check our calories, bread is quite high and I also feel bloated if I eat too much so I suggested we have porridge for breckie but not sure what lunch alternative there is. Well done to Izzy for doing her solo trip but I can understand you would feel a little anxious about it too. We have been in the situation where they have closed the M4 from slough to Hayes and we have had to come off which can be frustrating. By the way I think your hair looks nice take care x

Imo, it’s very very hard to just stop worrying as a mom. I’ve no doubt that Izzy will be fine and safe. But it’s perfectly normal to struggle with these big independent steps though ! You’re doing great. Last week my 18 year old drove to a large city on a very congested series of highways to pick someone up at the airport. I know he’s capable and responsible but it felt like I was letting a toddler take my car into the big city 😂.

Izzy will be fine Imo , but i can understand how you feel its difficult when they reach that stage where they want to fly solo. :( I Am enjoying your singing again such a sweet lovely vioce , i have been watching your previous vlogs were you are playing your flute you are such a talented lady, i do hope you had a lovely day with your BF the other day and loved seeing Eversham again i live in Devon but previously from gloucestershire so it reminded me of home :) :)

Calories are not just calories (there'sa zoe podcast explaining it). I've started the Zoe health and nutrition program and bread makes my blood sugar spike high followed by a low dip.

I can’t relate to not enjoying bread, for me it’s one of the greatest foods invented. But, if you get bloated eating even a relatively small amount it could be a gluten intolerance
@PlanetImo Жыл бұрын
IB is with you - he LOVES bread! :) I don’t know about gluten as I seem fine with other wheat things. Maybe I’ll try eliminating it for a short time to see what happens. Thanks, Marianne. X

@@PlanetImo It’s so frustrating when our bodies react to something like that. I had a similar issue with cow’s milk and cheese before I just decided to give up all dairy a few years ago. I guess the only saving grace is that you’re not a big fan of bread to begin with
@carolineharry6605 Жыл бұрын
I gave up gluten bread about a year ago. I kept a food diary because after having my gallbladder removed during the pandemic I started getting issues after certain foods. I only eat a small amount of gluten free bread now. And gluten free biscuits. My husband has gone gluten free with me and we lost a stone each. You have a lovely singing voice. 😊 I was born in Newport. Moved from there when I was about 4 or 5.
