It's a bitter sweet and a little heart wrenching to watch this video knowing Ronnie is gone but you can hear it in his vocals that his illness was taking its toll on his body. He sung his ass off in this show but you can hear the frailty in his voice. God Rest his Soul.

Yes he was, the doctors didn’t discover the cancer until it was stage 4, but they predicted he possibly had it for a couple years before them discovering it.

He died the following year. Truly the most consistent voice in the genre up until his unfortunate demise. Some would argue his "voice changed slightly" in his final years but this is a guy closer to 70 than to 60 and you have to be incredibly nittpicky to determine change.

Oh how I miss Ronnie n his talent...he put Sabbath on a whole other level, the originals started it all in all its funky, jazz jamming but after the first guy was Fired, the guy steps in. Tony Iommi became a "new" guitarist...lightning did strike twice...Dio forevermore

I was there 2009, still hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. Still watching clips over and over in 2017. Fucking...Jesus Christ. This never gets old. Sad, I never got to see Black Sabbath with Ozzy, and they're supposedly 'done' (we'll see), but I think I would have been sadder if I missed them with Dio.
