I only really started to dislike Jotaro once this game came around, and I realized just how much I dislike Jotaro in part 3 in comparison to later parts. I'm fine with him when he appears in part 4 and 6, but here, he just gets on my nerves with his "cool guy badass" personality and massive plot armor

Hugo Hikari to each his own. There are definitely times in which I hated jotaro in part 3, but he had a lot of awesome moments (especially during the egypt arc of part 3), and his fight with Dio was fucking awesome. I definitely agree that he's more interesting in part 4, as he acts as a mentor to josuke of sorts. I'm actually a huge josuke fan so I really like how josuke contrasts jotaro so heavily.

Having read part way into part 6 so far, Jotaro's fight against Dio is still one of my favorites in the entire series, mainly because it's one of the very few fights in part 3 that Jotaro actually struggled to win
