Yeah! That is a part of it, but it was also so it would be harder for him to hurt himself. The Flock wants to keep him alive for political reasons!

I just realized something- does Mariner have claws? Cause I notice he never shows them at all during the animation, including them being distinctly missing in similar scenes to where King has them. If he doesn't, that frankly explains a lot about him (declawing bad) I have not consumed any other media of this story, to be clear, and I want to see if I have a good eye before I do

Is it just me, are does Mariner's eyes change between yellow, and the heterochromia? The beginning the "answer" scene and partial drowning theyre yellow. In the "heaven says, heaven says" part at the end theyre the heterochromia. I wonder of thats significant somehow?

Love the enthusiasm for the little details but Mariner has heterochromia the whole video! Heaven Says' color palette leans much warmer and more yellow than their actual colors, which sadly makes Mariner's green eye (his right eye) look very very similar to his orange one (his left eye) so it's a bit hard to tell. Again, love that you're looking that close for details!
