Just and FYI for all of you who really do like the song. The gentleman singing this song his name was Kenneth Russell Chavis and the lady is Barbara J. Trotter. I personally knew Kenni C., as he referred to himself. Kenni was my guitar player in the late 70's. We were out of touch for a few years as he was on tour with his cousin Lenny Williams and he was writing also with Lenny of the Tower of Power Band. When he returned to Houston Texas In the early 80's we were collaborating on writing music in the studio and Kenni signed on with Capital Records during his promotional party at the Westin Oaks Hotel in Houston, Texas. Unfortunately after the promo party as he was on a brief weekend break he had a heart attack and passed away. Kenneth Russell Chavis had an amazing voice and musical writing skills.
