That upper Ridge Run is something I think I'd love to do. Incredible views and a very nice run. But no thanks to the catwalk down from the base of that run. Yikes. That could get rather precarious if it was crowded.

@markb3806 couldnt have said it any better ourselves, the top part is amazing, the bottom half is questionable.

On that area, there are beginner cources and the chairlift goes up a double black diamond. So you have to go back to the chairlift and ride it back down if you don’t want to take one of those ways. Yes, they allow that and a lot of people do it. I almost graduated to intermediate/blue square courses before I moved away and that is what I did

The trails from the top of Sky Chair have the best views of the lake. Would 100% recommend visiting Heavenly Mountain Resort

Hey Brock, thanks for commenting, this was our first run post 20 hours of flying and 4 hours of driving + our first time in Tahoe. Took a little bit of warming up before taking on the more extreme terrain in Tahoe :)

Do you happen to know what are normally the best days in a week to ski there? Don't want to hit the crowds.

Hi Rich, we found Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to be the best days.
