This knee injury retirement is a total BS. Just 4 months ago when she was filming with Torokhtyi she was talking about her long term plans and her potential rivals in sport. Not a single mention of any injuries. She just fell in love and completely lost her noodle. It happens in life. But it's a shame it happened to a future Olympic champion. Explain to me how else a young, healthy and strong woman decides overnight that life is much better in a beekeepers suit as a stay at home mom?

For those wondering what dehyrdochloromethtyltestosterone is is Turinabol. Popularized back in the day by the east germans. It's a altered dianabol actually. Relatively weak comparatively but also less androgenic so SOME women could possibly take it at a low dose and not at least obviously suffer masculine promoting side effects. Its weak nature also has the benefit of not adding water weight and throwing people out of their respective weight class. Over a long enough time line it CAN add lean muscle mass or aid in recovery. I'm curious what they do to supplement the person's own natural testosterone production as all steroids tend to shut you down. I'd further wonder (if they do supplement the person's test production) what they do to keep estrogen levels at bay. A benefit and sometimes consequence of turinabol is that it basically unbounds and frees up the testosterone you use to be utilized for what you all come to think its solely for.. building dat muscle. However when you free up this test it also means more of it can aromatize to estrogen and turn into dht. Of course you could use a a.i like arimidex and even letrozole but then your anaboloc trail is becoming even more obvious via testing..

@@Donari WTF you mean forced? Look, nobody forced her to convert to Islam. And Islam doesn't support using force so read about other people's religion before you start running your mouths about it. Most of the shit you hear about form the media is actually against Islam stupid idiots. And yes the Hijab is mandatory in Islam. Nothing sad about it. Wearing clothes in public is also required I believe and you can't just go out naked. So why is it a problem to wear Hijab but not apply that logic to all clothing?
@osigma-57133 жыл бұрын
@@cicciopiggio1600 Dude...... that is HER decision! Why the fuck is that a problem? Not everything that doesn't appeal to people is bad. And yes Islam has strict rulings on clothing which is why that happened. Some honor these rules which is what muslims should do and some don't. Such as egyptian bodybuilders for example. And there are rules for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN! it's not ok in Islam to show what's between your belly button and Knee for men. So technically open bodybuilding shouldn't be allowed. Did you know that? The kind of shit you hear about from men forcing their women to wear and such is because of TRADITION AND SO-CALLED HONOR before it's religion most of the time if we are being honest! people do things that are way way worse in islam than not wearing hijab but who bats an eye? It's not as frowned upon tradition-wise so it happens. It's freaking tradition. I hate it so much when people associate islam with the acts of idiots. Do we say that x country's law supports rape when rapes happen in x country? That would be stupid. Then why do you guys keep associating Islam with terrorism and all the shit when that is AGAINST our religion? It's the people not the religion.

There are multiple reasons for having bad knees in weightlifting. You push heavy weight all the ttime so it might just be wear and tear. But for I think what contributes the most probably is the excessive caving in when coming out of the whole. Which usually is a sign, that the quads aren't capable of pushing the weight. Why isn't this corrected by coaches?

Hey Seb, weren't you warning Norik about this exact scenario with Mattie Rogers several months ago? Seems like you were right. I don''t understand why Norik thought it's so implausible that Mattie would go up several weightclasses to take Jenny Arthur's spot. Jenny Arthur should have gone down to 76 (or even 71, if that's possible for her) to get some robi points in a lighter weightclass to secure her spot, there was nothing stopping her from diong that. I still think the Tokyo qualification process is bullshit, though. Leaves too much room for shenanigans like this to happen. I don't think points gained from a certain weightclass should be transferrable to other weightclasses. Especially with the olympic and non-olympic weightclasses right now, it just makes everything so damn underhanded and messy.

I’m not an expert but is a hang snatch easier than a regular snatch or why are some guys above the wr on the hang snatch
@toximan20084 жыл бұрын
I will take an educated guess and suppose that since the movement is a shortened version of the full snatch from the floor, that executing it for some people will be easier than the full movement from the floor, as there are fewer things that could go wrong during it (such as technical breakdowns or a misses) It is also a "stronger" position to be in since your body is loaded "top-down," thereby making your technical execution more easy. For example, why a deadlift from the floor is easier after your first rep, because when you set the bar down in a controlled fashion for rep two, the eccentric portion of the movement allows for the subsequent rep to be better optimized and then executed
@edwardclaxton22004 жыл бұрын
Snatching from the hang can put you in a false/more advantageous position that you might not be able to achieve when pulling from the floor
@dwaynehumex4 жыл бұрын
because the first pull of the snatch is so difficult, and because range of motion in the hang snatch is shorter than in the full snatch, it isn't uncommon to see ppl hang snatch more than they can snatch for the floor. To simplify, you can think of as like a clean from blocks : starting the lift from mid thigh or the knee rather than from the floor requires less strength, but also less effort in keeping correct positions throughout the movement. That's why ppl can go over wr numbers in hang / block lifts.
@Thongger4 жыл бұрын
You have the advantage of a shorter pull and also benefiting from the elasticity of muscles “whiplashing” , allowing you to lift more than you normally would. It’s like an snatch version of bouncing out of a squat , because you are locked tight at the TOP, when you lower yourself to the contact point above the knees it’s almost as if you are pulling a rubber band back and releasing it

Ben Bishop I know I just wish he wouldn’t bring up CrossFit as much as he does. I like the Seb stays focused in weightlifting specific talk a little more. I get why Zack does but that’s where I kind of tune out.

It’s disappointing but not surprising to see all the hate for Islam in the comments section. Sarah Ahmed alone disproves the nonsense claim that Islam holds women back in their athletic endeavors. A quick google search will show that her family encouraged and supported her in her weightlifting pursuits and it is the same for many other female Muslim athletes around the world. Anyway its a shame to see Koha retire so early. She had a lot of potential

of course that is what they say , public image is important . How would her husband/family/islam as awhole look if they openly prohibited her from competing in wl lmao . When all the cameras of the world are on someone they will sing like a canary .

Moise Mircea so what you are saying is that the families of female Muslim athletes only support them because they are in the public eye and they do not actually support them?

Lol that's one women of millions. Says nothing.

bittercottoncandy I think it is key to judge Islam on the holy text itself and not the action of bad people who happen to be Muslims. So you mention rape, discrimination, and supremacy for example. You will see you that all of these things are firmly forbidden within the religion of Islam. In fact the freeing of slaves is encouraged and can be used to repent for sins

Im an ex muslim, I assure you islam is not a religion of peace. Koha retired becuz of pressure from husband’s family... just a guess...
@osigma-57133 жыл бұрын
Lmao. Guess it's your family's problem then. Because this pressure thing is more of a tradition thing 9 times out of 10. Just say that the middle east fuckin sucks (which it does) bit it's not because of Islam. Before Islam came people used to bury females alive just so you know.
