Im not sure I understand your question regarding the cold. I varnish it and let it be a few hours.

@Tashiann Morant now watch me do... yes the spray varnish goes on evenly and it is done once the painting is dry already. You can't varnish on wet paint. I have a video on how I spray varnish;)

Not liking the solid streaks of silver I feel like they should have some black and green in them so they fit into the painting better . I hope your not offended. You have been at this a lot longer than me and are far more talented .
