No, he didn't. What happened was that Usyk pulled out of that tournament just before it started. Karneyeu went on to participate, and since Usyk pulled out just before the tournament began, they didn't have time to take his name out. So the guy that Karneyeu beat in his opening bout was listed as "Oleksandr Usyk," but it wasn't Usyk himself. They've pretty much corrected that result everywhere. It doesn't appear on boxrec anymore, etc.
