Freight rail is impressive, very good video. However passenger traffic is nothing compared to Europe: even the regular intercity trains go faster, and have much more passenger car capacitiy. Not talking about TGV: at 250km/hr through the French landscape, common since the eighties.

France is a tiny country compared to US. Go to balkans of europe and you will see trains slower than USA
