Ok for that Mamba's head slashing: 2dice base + 2dice Brawl:2 + 1dice for Charge + 1dice for Link + 1dice for Back Arc = 7 dice. And 8th dice came from...?

It's 2d6 (base) + 4d6 (brawl: 4) + 1d6 (Link) + 1d6 (back arc) +1d6 (charge) - 1d6 (top speed) = 8d6. I stacked a bunch of upgrades on the Mamba to get him this high, including both the basic veteran brawl and the samurai spirit from the Mekong subfaction :`) but it's worth it. You can see the specific upgrades on the Southern force list.

Love the game guys. I just ordered one of the starter sets. I played this a LONG time ago and want to get back into it. By the way...under "Selecting Objectives": Each objective may only be chosen once. Page 19.

True enough, but the wording there is a bit off. I checked with the devs (some of 'em hang on my discord), and it's meant to be 'once per side'. Anyway, it's a good time to get back into it. The current ruleset is great.
