Greetings Juan, first of all, I for one like the rear cam facing forward on the load, it really gives a perspective of just how long that load is. And second, I know that most of you vids are recorded during the day, but, it would be nice if you include some night driving runs, unless you don't drive much at night,( with some of those loads, I would totally understand ), just saying it would be another perspective of what truckers face daily. Thanks for the vids, I do watch to the end....most of the time.

In the summer there's no night driving, in the winter 99% of the night driving is in the forest and the video suck. In a year we get lots of snow a night video works, with one of the cams on my shoulder so you can see the dash. I'll keep it in mind this winter.

Good morning Juan, we just returned from our 3 and 1/2 mile walk, now it's time to go and mow the orchard, so catch the rest of your video on the treadmill...be right back. Glad I wasn't the only one who was in dream land when the coop was up ahead, what did the sign say?.....now I gotta go in.

I swear you mow your orchard daily

Got my AC-Z in Ontario a few weeks ago. Who knew it's basically Impossible to get behind the wheel without 2 years experience. Not sure the economic situation in a few years when everyone suddenly realizes we weren't replacing the aging drivers. I'd love to be out on the road hauling right now but without 2 years experience, I'm not able to get any experience. There should be some route new drivers can take where there's subsidized insurance rates for companies willing to hire us on and give us a chance to build up that experience. I'm basically willing to drive FOR FREE for a few weeks to help offset the insurance premiums and that's still not good enough. I can't beat free and willing/able.

There is a way, get a job driving truck in town. thats how us old timers did it, we had to work our way up, usually it was 5 years town driving, so you'd have a chance of living.
@JuanRempelАй бұрын
Yea, with the economic crash, I highly recommend getting the jobs that are benith you, Local, maybe moving vans, garbage trucks, construction, delivery, apply everywhere, just to find something to grind through to keep your nose clean and get that experience. When the economy enivitably bounces back, you'll be ready to punce.

I pulled into closed scales more than once because something else had my attention when I went by the sign, usually traffic. It happens.

Dude I'd way rather the kootenay than any of those narrow british highways you guys got goin on around there. Some guys would split the trailers at the avalanche gate and come back for the back trailer and put back together at the brake check it was actually the same time as pulling both up but just way way less street cred so I always chewed my way up but man oh man did I ever destroy lots of chains. Always rolled with piles of quick links and little bits of extra chain as well as spare boomers and cross links and a pair of big chain pliers. I think the square link chains are the best because even when they twist they still have traction surface on the road rather than V bars and spikes that poke your tire and I when I consider how tight to tighten them I keep in mind that I will want to get them off eventually. I take the cam tightening tool and toss it in the garbage then proceed to put a 15 in bunge on either side of the axle on the inside of the wheel then 12s to restrain the exess chain on the inside and middle (never cut those short !) then the outside exess is taken up by one of the arms on my 2 or 3 octopuses that I use on the outside because doing 30 with a b train you will never get enough centrifugal force to overcome the bungees so tightening the cams is pointless then when chain off time comes they fall off like butter. Well that's my chain manifesto.

Yea, I personally have always just taken the Kootenay, once it was bad enough that I needed a pull up.

Great video. Good job getting the load down the Blueberry Paulsen without any problems. The climb from Castlebush to the top of Bombi Summit must be a real grind. Is your KW a girlie automatic or a 15 or 18 speed?

500hp, 18 speed automated transmission.
