@@berwinenzemann3468 Bands that are not genuine never last. Have a look at all the posers of the 1980s especially in the GLAM scene. The Warning care deeply for their fans and go out of their way to show gratitude. They kept so many entertained during the lock downs. How many bands bring their fans into their worlds like that? No ego, no "oh give us money or we won't play this for you." Bands of the past forgot where they came from. Just look at Metallica and how they took a dump on fans over a bit of music escaping from their hands over Napster. When you can bet that was planned, because artist will protect their music at all costs. The Warning aren't driven by money, fame, or tripe like that. That's why they are genuine. They know without loyal fans, they wouldn't be here.
@berwinenzemann34682 жыл бұрын
@@SkittleKicksPlays I agree that The Warning is a very fan friendly band. They deliver a high quality product without selling out or ripping off the fans. But they do have their marketing strategy and their narratives. There's nothing wrong with that. The narratives are part of the product. A rock band is never just about the music alone. Image is also a big part. In case of The Warning it's the narrative of three sisters from Mexico who are living their childhood dream of becoming rock stars and love to play oldschool rock. Their target audience (elderly oldschool rock fans) love that narrative and are willing to open up their wallets for that. But I don't think it's 100 Percent genuine. I suspect it was mostly their father who raised them to become professional musicians, form an oldschool rock band and targeted them towards this audience. Of course I know the story of the Rock Band Vieo Game but I'm pretty sure they're bending the truth to feed the narrative. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. They're an awesome band, make great music, they're very likable and fan friendly. But I don't think they're 100 percent genuine. At the end of the day it's still a buisness. They sell a product to make a living.
@SkittleKicksPlays2 жыл бұрын
@@berwinenzemann3468 There is no money in composition or performance. Musicians make little to no money at all (do you know what it costs to put a band on the road in 2022? Especially in this economy that is getting worse daily). If they own their catalog maybe, but why do you think concert tickets and merch are so expensive compared to say the 70s and 80s, or 90s? The Internet killed it. Instant gratification killed it. The "industry killed it." Maybe they are marketed (but great bands are heavily marketed to the public), maybe they are told how to look, what to wear, or what to say. That isn't anything knew and it was a thing during The Beatles days (look at Motown as another example of the machine at work.). The difference is that these girls write their own original music, and it's not penned by outside writers or producers as many bands deal with (Halestorm is an example). I'm not saying it's wrong either. When I said genuine I meant as who they are as people. As an example of extremes. Justin Beiber was a nobody who was literally marketed with the sole purpose to be a cash cow for execs. He was told how to light his room, what songs to play, how to appear on camera, and how to react. That's NOT genuine. He was made by producers, marketing, and other execs not raw talent. Pau baking a cake twice on camera, Dany learning drums and bass, or the girls gaming on Twitch is as real to life as it gets. That is genuine. If it were a Beiber thing, the look would have been way more polished. I also believe that their mom and dad are very protective of their daughters. They know how sleazy the business is. Granted Dany,, Ale and Pau had an "in" because their dad was in recording engineering. Pantera's founding members Dime and Vinnie Abbott had an in because of their dad. Every band that's been huge has been marketed exponentially in modern times. RUSH was not liked early on but became a phenomenon. Their fans are so loyal even today with Neil gone. I can easily spot fake people (aka posers) in music. Been doing it since I was a kid some 40 + years ago. The Warning may a team behind them, but they are the real deal. You can't fake talent, passion, or love.
