This is exactly how I remember my childhood days (nights). I used to sleep with this beautiful and comforting sound. It gave me a safety feeling of being inside my family’s home, with my parents and siblings, while I fell asleep with the sound of a torrential rain falling on the zinc roof. I love rain and thunder.

Today’s thanksgiving and I feel horrible. I’m a mad person because my brother who went to jail when I was 10 came back when I was 15 we hadn’t kept in contact so I was really excited to interact with him. It turns out he got hepatitis B while he was there so I avoided him as much as possible and try not to touch anything he touches since I don’t want to get hepatitis B too. I know it’s hard to get it but I just don’t want to risk it and I’m being a horrible person. I did interact with him a bit though since he was staying with us for a whole year and I don’t like his personality either. He’s so irresponsible and mannerless. He’s only half joking when he tells me to do drugs and go drink and literally wiped his own sweat on me as a joke for me birthday. His humor is way too heavy rude but I can’t tell him anything because I’ll feel bad for him. I don’t like children either and he has 3 kids with him that I now have to interact with once in a while. Back to the thanksgiving topic, he’s coming here for thanksgiving and the only reason he’s coming is for the food because I know he’d never text or visit us if he didn’t need anything. Know I need to interact with him and kids and he’ll be touching everything in the house and he’ll eat all my food. I told my parents I would cook everything myself this thanksgiving but when I heard he was coming I just gave up all motivation and my family ended up cooking which is so damn selfish of me. I hate my brother and his kids but I still love them so much as well because they’re my family. I don’t want to get out of my room because I feel like my family hates me right now since I broke my promise and was also being moody all day since my brother and his kids are coming
