Heavy rain leads to flash floods across south Florida

Heavy rain on both coasts of the state led to flash flooding in many parts of southern Florida, with city streets submerged in Sarasota and Miami. NBC's Frances Rivera and Angie Lassman have all the details on Early Today.

I think this really shows that we don't know how to measure what is actually a 100 year, 500 year, or 1000 year storm accurately. Hopefully storms like this will give us more data points to predict things just a tad better lol.

After the storms and rain is over with and people are compensated for their flooded out vehicles, auto insurance rates will go up again all over Florida. Unfortunately all counties must pay for one county. The car insurance should only go up for the affected counties. But that’s not how it works. If someone has an accident or vehicle storm damage in a county that I do not live in, my insurance rate will go up to help pay for it. This is not fair especially right now with high product, food, and gas prices I just cancelled my homeowner insurance after it quadrupled. Car insurance is headed in the same direction.

Per Forbes, they’re not even in the top ten. “Aside from tuition, we apply several metrics to determine our scaled affordability scores. For example, the U.S. state with the lowest average in-state tuition is Florida ($4,541 per year), but other factors put the Sunshine State at number 16 on the affordability list.”

@@Bedroomeyze Nobody banned any books. There’s always been a standard of what’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate material to have inside of schools. Some of those books had very good reason to be viewed as not appropriate for children. There’s no ban on lgbtq material, as some media sources would want you to believe. There’s an enforcement on keeping sexually explicit material off of school bookshelves. Nowhere is sexually explicit material defined as lgbtq material.
