The driver did get out and check before driving down, but unfortunately it soon took a serious turn for the worse.
Unfortunately due to the nature of incident and the HGV on the electric pylon, the power got SHUT DOWN, meaning no electricity for those nearby!
I was requested and dispatched to scene to assess the job and get the relevant resources ready for the specialist recovery operation to get the vehicle back onto hard standing ground.xz

Great, great work, Greg. My son use to drive these vehicles( the one that found himself stuck, poor chap) for a building firm. Thank goodness he never got stuck🙏 Awesome work by you & all you're Recovering colleagues. As for that tree.?! A very lucky one!!!!🙏 It's all about physics, weights angles and plenty of luck!!! that was an expensive second day insurance claim, definitely one to tell his grandkids about whoever sent him to that address in a 26 tonner wants their arse kicking, no fkn common sense, a quick look on google maps was all it would of taken, that truck should of never left the builders yard, sloppy management. and yes, the hero of the night, the tree...

Good to see another vlog,gotta say I did laugh when you said I've got to call the office so was that calling yourself then🤷‍♂️🤣tough job to sit back and watch but even tougher the driver being watched by everyone but probably passed caring by then🙈great team work there and hope don't give the driver any stick in the comments as noones perfect nit even drivers that have been driving for 20/30 years🙂👍

Two things we would get criticised for, chain round a tree and climbing over the tensioned winch cable. How many times can you mention that tree!!

Greg wouldn"t rim slings do the job by pulling on the back wheels sideways , using a redirect to a nation grid truck in the gate way back to wrecker truck

Only thing about that ash tree is that they put a chain around it which probably fxxced the cambien and it’ll probably die now!

So why did u get involved, if you saw the Pics just pass it too Beech....was you Surprised that tree held up then 😂....,they must have got bored hearing the same thing...Proper Recov Operators just take it in their Stride .... Your a Miñnow in a very big Pond of Experienced Big Fish
