SNH48 (read "S.N.H. Forty-eight") is an all-female Chinese theater/Chinese idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. It could be, but it would have to be sited in an especific city in the country. All 48 groups are named after the City or District they have their theater located: Jakarta and Shanghai are important cities for example :)

I heard about 48groups, but SNH48 is the one that I'm only interested in (big reason is becuz I'm a Cpop fan). My favorites are Jiang Yuxi, Qiu Xinyi, and Gu Xiangjun (she remind me of Taiwanese former member from Hei se hui mei called GUI GUI). I can't wait for their own variety show!!!

I know JKT is in Indonesia. It is just that I am generalising it. Like generalising UK English and US English as English, I am just generalising all into Malay, regardless of Malaysian Malay, Bruneian Malay or Indonesian Malay.

I have heard the original (Japanese) version, Malay version and Mandarin version. In my opinion, AKB wins hand down for this song (of course since they are more experience compared to the SNH and JKT). Malay version have a lower key compare to the Japanese version but still OK. As for Mandarin version, somehow I feel it sounds flat which is not a good sign. Maybe it is because they are still new and need more experience. They need to work harder to catch up with others.
