*Those tires are beef cakes! Love to see the Tannus Armour Inserts going on the bike. Welcomed upgrade for flat protection!*

I got a Wired Freedom and had 3 flats within 9 rides (about 150 miles so far). I am in the Sacramento area where it's very hot and dry during the summer; there are thorns blowing every where and 2 of the 3 were from that. I was considering FlatOut but it seems like a mess to deal with, and I hear that it can make the tires spin unevenly. I just bought the Tannus Armor and will consider the HEB wheels if there are any more issues.

@@kl3664 the inserts should be enough.

These tires are only good on ebikes that have a 35amp controller minimum while pushing a 2000 watts motor or higher. If you don't meet these requirements then you'll loose some top speed in mph and also you'll drain the battery faster because of the extra weight of these tires. Otherwise these tires are excellent on pavement and off road. I just put a pair of these on one of my Spark Cycle Works Bandit's and I'm amazed about the performance of these tires.

Good review. I live in Florida and own the Addmotor 360 electric trike. I ride mostly on pavement and replaced the front tire (Kenda Krusade) with another Kenda Krusade last November after a year of use. I recently discovered these HEB tires on Amazon. I'll be buying one this Winter when it's time to replace again. I'm hoping for longer durability and better traction. The HEB tires got good reviews. 👍

Thanks, remember HEB will add about 4 lbs per tire.

Just curious if you experienced the drastic range and speed difference. I deliver on a cargo ebike and need to replace my baldies.

I noticed that you have spoke rims. Did you put rim tape on your rims? I have mag wheels and I’m wondering if I should put rim tape on my rims along with the Tannus Armor inserts

I came back looking for the newest update of these tires and the vid was gone 😢. I seems like that's the trade off. A light weight tire is great for performance and range but super easy to get a flat. A heavier tire that's more flat resistant will rob the bike of range. I tried the Shinko sr241 tires for a few weeks and ran into similar issues. The Shinko tire was 6 pounds so I think these tires you got might be an OK at only 4 pounds. My factory Kenda tires are 3.5 pounds.

I actually returned them when I realized it reduced my battery life by 50%. Put my stock tires back on but used the Tanner Amour inserts.

Thanks Mr "D", I'd have been interested to see if the Tannus liners would have worked on the thin ultra-light stock tires... Wow, 8 pounds more is over 10% increase! Did you reset your tire size? Your outside height is a cpl inches taller... Overall, great looking tires! Thanks for the video.

Thanks John, didn’t have to change tire size as the Speedo was close to my GPS. Thanks for watching

That's good to know@@DaleMrDSimmons, I've read reviews on Amazon where folks complained the larger diameter didn't fit under their fenders, etc... Maybe we're lucky with our T42's. I'm still loving mine, even after the wreck. And now that Peggy has a bike, she's excited too!

They are outstanding. When I sent back the HEB’s, I placed the inserts in the stock tires. They work great and show no wear.

Sorry this is kinda how not to install, always Tannus in first as you learned and air tube with a little air 5 pounds before inserting also to avoid pinch flats from bead of tire on top of non aired tube, air up in increments to check bead but always check bead with tire rim on bike upside down to spin tire, this will show you any uneaven bead.

You probably would have been better off just with the new tires and left the other stuff out of it that's what gain the weight probably the nicer heavier-duty tires was all you needed

No you did the right thing, in also adding the Tannus foam liners as well, I've often wondered what happens when you combine two different approaches with Tannus foam liners along with heavier puncture resistant heavier tire tread, as far as the trade off's with battery range and speed, all that can be overcome with controller and battery upgrades,
