I was born a muslim and would not be able to understand and can only imagine the path of reverts. To be able to reject what one has learnt their whole life or in a way to cut what has been passed down from the parents is a very big step. Hello Ty, try searching the net for a mosque near by. There has to be one close to where you live. Also, there is no need to have your shahada witnessed by another person because there is one who hears all and sees all and knows what’s in your heart. Peace.

@@BenM61 The closest one to me is 15 minutes but it is only open during Jumma. I work to far away to make it there during lunch hour. The next closest one is the Utica Masjid which is almost 2 hours from me. I just feel so alone now and want to be around people that understand me.

It is a problem many Muslims face here in the states but we have to make do with what we got. I don’t know if you know this or not but the Imam of Utica Masjid is Tom Facchine, a convert himself. I am sure he can talk to you if or when you reach out to him. He is a very good man. You can visit their website and watch some videos of his. Good luck.

Ironically, if you look at history and archeology, yahweh was the pagan god of israel which they accepted and assimilated into their religion. Each region in the area had their own pagan god. Yahweh had a wife, ashura, a mother, father and many many brothers and sisters according to the pagans. They even prayed to baal and other pagan deities at some point
