I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is April 18, 2019. It is Maundy Thursday. Today, Hebrews 10:15-39 will most likely be read in churches today. And may we all remember Jesus' commandment, to Love One Another (John 13:35).

Why do the Catholic Priest encourage us to go to the priest for confession. They based their authority in John 20:21-23. Do we still approach the priest for confession?

No. Need Jesus is the mediator. Our sins are forgiven once for all.

In the new testament Jesus is the high priest who offered himself to be crucified to pay for our sins.The curtain was torn-(his body )so wee directly approach God the father through JESUS CHRIST
