One the best sermons I've ever heard on assurance, or go through those style attacks. "GET YOUR EYES OFF YOU AND PUT THEM ON THE SAVIOR, SERVE OTHERS AND YOU'LL BE FINE"! Absolutely beautiful! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!

Thank you so much for the clarification. I was told many years ago that if I backslid that I was not saved or it was impossible to get what I had before. It really bothered me and I thought I was doomed! Now I feel better after this video and can continue to grow in Christ! Thank you and God Bless you!

Thank you Pastor Paul for directing my eyes to the passages 4-6. I was one who believed a person was never saved in the beginning. I thought, how could anyone, after knowing the truth about Christ, not believe? It's still baffling to me; however, my faith in Christ overrides my finite mind. Christ is King of kings!

@@ralphowen3367 That is not at all what is being said. "those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and *were made partakers of the Holy Ghost* And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come" One cannot fall away from the faith if they never had the faith to begin with. That is irrational thought. Rightly dividing the word on Hebrews 6:4-8 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, "With men this is IMPOSSIBLE; but with God all things are possible.” {Matthew 19:26} And they [the natural branch, the Jew] also, *if they abide not still in unbelief* shall be graffed in: *for God is able to graff them in again* {Romans 11:23} This is not saying that a person putting God to open shame (with a hardened heart who are living outside of the character and the faith of Jesus) will come to repentance again. Never stop praying for those who are fallen from the faith, for all things are possible with God.

I read this passage this morning and really appreciate this message and clarification. The last few years of my life have been really hard. I mean, REALLY HARD! My faith was crushed and I just couldn't bear the curse anymore. I recently reached the point that I knew God was either not real, or very evil. In the last four months, I've had almost $2,000 of extra bills, on top of so many things breaking and sickness in my family as well as myself. It was literally at the point of catastrophe every other week, and I'm not exaggerating. A person can only be crushed and tortured for so long before they are just destroyed. I had no strength left. I have felt absolutely no joy for years. I have felt nothing but absolute hatred, disgust, and disappointment in God for a long time now. I truly gave up all hope. Oddly enough, I got a mild sickness that could have (and theoretically, still could) gotten a lot worse. In some down time, some time alone, I decided to pray and dig out my Bible (from the corner where I threw them) and read it. In the last week, I have been blessed. I don't really understand and I don't think life is going to suddenly be great going forward. I don't know if I will ever feel the Holy Spirit or if God will ever let me feel joy, but I at least feel better than I did and I genuinely want to move forward, pursuing God. To be completely honest, life is still a curse that I wish I didn't have to bear, but I do want to feel hope again, and I pray this path is now leading to it.

This is a great message, preached passionately. Pastor Paul fervently defends the love and grace of God while also issuing an unapologetic teaching regarding those who choose to reject the gift of God. Thank you Pastor Paul. This passage is difficult to digest. I am a new believer. I mean I was raised in a roman Catholic environment and I know nothing about the Bible even though I attended church. I learned through a lot of mistakes. I even received booklets and pamphlets many years ago, from a denomination in the US who advocate the practice of keeping the Sabbath, all the feasts and the laws and it was depressing. I have to thank God that finally I get to study the Bible the way it is meant to be. God bless you

Thank you for a clear and concise teaching on this! I agree wholeheartedly with you and have held this stance for many years. Many Puritans taught this very thing (Bunyon) and there can be no doubt to the “turning away” or “falling away”. God’s Providence might be fulfilling His Glory in some fashion (Pharoah?) and removing His Hand.

I think there are some good encouragements in this sermon for believers but to say that a 'born again' Christian can lose their salvation I see nowhere in Hebrews chapter 6. The apostle John himself says 'he who is born of God cannot sin for his seed REMAINS in him ..' I can't reconcile John's statement with this sermon since a big sin if not the biggest is unbelief ... Blessings to you Pastor Paul thank you for your ministry.

If you do please do this. Number one go to a Pastor who preaches true salvation and ask Him to pray for you to become enlightened by the word and experience regeneration of the Holyspirit. And if you have any sexual sin in your life stop right now otherwise it will destroy your soul. It will sear your conscience and also give you a hard heart. And it will be difficult for you to want Christ. While your heart is still sensitive seek Him and ask Him to show you a Pastor that really cares and operates in His word. All the best.

Satan is the accuser so he’s going to accuse you of all things in your mind affecting your emotions etc, just look at Jesus and what god did for you through Jesus Christ. It’s what helped me and also what helped me is James 4:8 (draw nigh to god and he will draw nigh to you), meditate on his word, acknowledge god in all your ways. Joel 2:12 Also when you have doubts in your mind, just remember you have a savior, you called Jesus your lord and savior he’s going to save you

The love and mercy of Jesus is amazing, and the power of His blood to cleanse and redeem astonishing. We stand in awe, we fall in reverence. He gives us mercy and the gift of repentance when we do not deserve it. We can only understand our sinfulness and need for Repentance because the Holy Spirit gives that to us. So how do we respond? Get alone with God on your knees and confess your sins. Tell Jesus you are sorry. Take the cup of salvation. Choose to believe/trust and obey Jesus. Confess your sins. Decide to trust and obey. Read the Bible and pray every day. Allow Jesus to purify your heart and change you. Ask Him to make you born again. Psalm 130:3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Psalm 116 12 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off

I was of the understanding that Paul was addressing the Judaizers who had infiltrated the body of Christ trying to get them to become Yahudis going back under the law of animal sacrifice mosaic law... Peter having the holy spirit because he was doing miracles for Yahoshua/Jesus Messiah/Christ and then denies Jesus three times before the rooster crows, yet, Peter returns and helps start the church and is saved by grace ... Hallelujah! Noahide laws are written into law where Christians must obey or suffer beheading for believing is Jesus which is Idolatry, worshipping a false God to the modern Sanhedrin. This will be the Antimessiah beast system who will persecute the Body of Messiah for not going back underneath the mosaic law going underneath the False messiah for safety security and life itself. They are close to rebuilding their temple, watch, stay awake, fill your lamps and trim your wicks for the bridegroom fast approaches! Great sermon! Thank you! God bless you!

How does some of the other scriptures play into your view? Like Jesus saying none that the father is giving me will be snatched from my hand, Paul saying there were those who went out from us had they been up they would not have gone out. The scriptures where it says he who began a good work and you will carry it out into the day of Christ Jesus?

There arent many who answer the call to take the journey through salvation, and holiness. We obtain these graces on our journey as he has called us to seek his face. The way of life takes us right up to the feet of Jesus whose throne is the mercy seat. It is here that we are asked to set aside our standing and put on the clothing of the servant as if beginning a second time. Here, the face of God is covered by the wings of cherubim. Before enjoying the "presence" of God as did Adam or Moses, it seems as if this warning is necessary. I'm remembering Moses who disobeyed once...and could not enter the holy land. Moses had been in the presence of God. If you have, you know how fearsome is his presence. Falling on your face...daring not the look...are not exaggeration. I cannot imagine how anyone could speak to ask questions. I fear the statement, "Beware lest ye fall." Perhaps the meaning is that the garden or the presence is off limits. But not membership in the kingdom. Surely not.

Those who are still good for the laws of Moses are still drinking milk but we who believe in Christ are ready for meat. But as for me my faith never changes! Iam not one to turn away like I don't believe anymore! I just question the Creator about why He allows evil but then I remember satan is cast down to the earth to cause these destructions! While the power seems to be on satans side but all these things are for His own Glory and for those He created the afterlife for!

It's impossible maybe its simply referring to those who turn back to the old system of cleansing and sacrifice making it clear that it's that approach that makes repentance impossible. Therefore, falling away to using the old system is an impossible solution to repentance.

Jesus indeed died, but was resurrected. Is that the context of "tasting death"? He didn't truly die as he is and the way to eternal life. He was blameless and thus removed from captivity. Then the second tasting would be to experience but not sincerely commit. How else can you know if you sincerely accepted Jesus?

I didn't have a choice in circumcision... does that mean im condemned?
@PastorPaulLeBoutillier
@PastorPaulLeBoutillier 7 ай бұрын
Circumcision was a covenant sign between God and Israel. That is why the Apostle Paul wrote this to Christians: "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love." (Galatians 5:6) Put your faith ENTIRELY in what Jesus did for you on the cross when He bore the penalty of your sin and you will be saved. God bless you.

Personally I have experienced times of immaturity and a backslidden state, one thing I can say is praise God I didn't die in that state, I consider that as His mercy. 2Cor. 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation. 1Jn 5:16 there is a sin leading to death ; I do not say that he should make request for this. Partial verse. My understanding of this, is a continuous active sin, such as you stayed Muslim and never repented. A hardening of your heart, a stubbornness not turning from your sin. It's obvious you have renounced Islam, Mercy is a prayer God hears. There is a place of no return but its not you. God is not a respecter of persons He doesn't extend mercy to me and not you. But please hear me; I am not the guy I was 30 years ago.

So what does this mean for Catholic teachings that direct the people to the sacraments that are said to be necessary for salvation, life, forgiveness? And even more so for those who believe they need Mary seeing her as co-redeemer, mediator, advocate, that she will appeal to Christ for them? Seems to me that they definitely put their faith in "other". So many of their ways reflect that what Christ alone did on the cross is not sufficient.

The true info is one you become enlightened for God and you fall away from that enlightenment you are doomed for hell. That enlightenment is the knowledge of Good and evil. You won’t see evil anymore you will only see good. Do everything you can to hold on to that. Do not step back or harden your heart or you will lose the Spirit!!!! None of y’all have to worry about this cause if you would have done it you would know without a doubt. But that means a time is coming when you will become enlightened. When it comes put all your faith into that enlightenment. Even to the point of death DO NOT LET GO OF IT!!!!

This passage means exactly what is says. I tasted of the heavenly gift but eventually turned back to my sinful desires. Now God has handed me to the forces of darkness and will not answer a single prayer. It is truly a nightmare!

“Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever. Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭3:12-13‬ “For he satisfieth the longing soul, And filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron; Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High: Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; They fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bands in sunder.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭107:9-14‬ “And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity. And I said, My strength and my hope Is perished from the LORD: Remembering mine affliction and my misery, The wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, And is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, Therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly Wait for the salvation of the LORD. It is good for a man that he bear The yoke in his youth. He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, Because he hath borne it upon him. He putteth his mouth in the dust; If so be there may be hope. He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: He is filled full with reproach. For the Lord will not Cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion According to the multitude of his mercies. For he doth not afflict willingly Nor grieve the children of men.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:17-33‬

“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:18-19‬ “Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, Even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, Whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: And the land was polluted with blood. Thus were they defiled with their own works, And went a whoring with their own inventions. Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, Insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance. And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; And they that hated them ruled over them. Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand. Many times did he deliver them; But they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, When he heard their cry:” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭106:37-44‬

Listen bro, I know how you feel. Keep crying out to him, don’t give up. This is a form of chastening, I’ve been thru it. But God DELIGHTS in mercy. He rejoices when a sinner repents. Trust me nothing NOTHING is impossible with God. “let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him RETURN unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:7 “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should RETURN from his ways, and live?” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:23‬ “For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:32‬ Sorry to overload you with all these Bible verses but I know what you’re going through and I want to help you biblically. He is so gracious and He loves you… He sees every tear.

Hi Michael, it’s about trusting in the finished work of Christ : He said “ It is finished “ (John 19:30). Trust in The Lord and don’t lean on your own understanding ( Proverbs 3:5-6). 1 John 1:9 says that He will forgive our sins, if we confess it. God does hear your prayers and has not abandoned you to darkness. Many believers would say the same as you,so don’t worry but trust in the goodness of God The Father and what He has given us through Jesus . A reading of Ephesians chapter 1 shows what we have because we’re in Christ…Hope this helps 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Sadly this exact interpretation speaks to many millennials who were once seemingly truly saved and who are now rejecting Christ wholeheartedly. I know several parents who are experiencing this denial of Christ by their adult children and I am sure teens as well. Satan’s ploy to steal kill and destroy the children of believers is in full force in the days we are living in. It grieves my heart to no end to hear story after story about my sisters’ and brothers’ in Christ children.
