this was an absolutely amazing message. I'm a preacher myself,. and I remember in college looking at this and talking about conditionals and and how they apply. taking this in context with Hebrews, it makes si much more sense. thank you very much for you teachings. you have become one of my favorites.

pastor gino great stuff, the only thing i have a problem understanding is when you substitute the word aposteo to parapipto it still does not change the fact that they are denying the atoning work of the cross for the work of the law. they are exchanging the sacrifice of god for the traditions of men. how can one be saved while denying the son? everything makes sense to me other than this. for going back to yom kippur strongly reminds me of1john2:19 they went out from us because they were not of us. i would love to hear your response. god bless.

+godservant I'm not sure if I'm following your argument. The fact of the matter is the word used is not 'parapipto' but 'παραπεσόντας' meaning 'having fallen away'. They can't be renewed they having crucified for themselves the Son of the God and exposing Him to public ridicule. The main error in the teaching is "...and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost." Pastor Gino should have kept to the Greek text which reads, καὶ μετόχους γενηθέντας Πνεύματος ῾Αγίου = and becoming a partaker of a holy Spirit. At one's rebirth event [baptism, dying to sin] one receives a holy Spirit becoming a member of Jesus' body 1Co 12:12-, "For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For also by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free, even all were made to drink into one Spirit." I, too, would love to hear your response.

+Ted Mitchell I'm not so clued up using a phone. I'm more familiar with a PC. I make use of 'e-Sword' and it's free downloads @ www.e-sword.net A typical example is Tit 3:4- [KJV], "But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost..." That's not according to the Greek text, "...and renewing of a holy Spirit..." One can't be 'born again' unless one 'puts off the old man'; one dies to sin and receives a holy Spirit--the Spirit of Christ, being a member of his body 1Co --12:12-, "For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
