I have been reading Greek NT and Septuagint for 30 yrs, having had 3 formal courses learning Greek from my Pastor who was professor of Greek at his seminary. the greek structure and word usage in Hebrews is totally different than all of Luke's writings. Luke is a gentile name, obviously a convert, who was very intelligent and gifted to investigate and write on life of Jesus.Only Appolos had a strong following among the early churches and could refute the Judaizers. Anyway, whoever is the author, this book of Hebrews is astounding and ethereal and powerfully thrilling in it's scope: very much non-Pauline.

He is wrong about Luke being the author. The greek used in Hebrews is so much different than any other book in the bible. It is a high Alexandrian greek, and Apollos was from there; he is placed also in same category as Peter, and Paul in 1cor.1 as an apostle; he was highly gifted in the scriptures; he was recognized by the other churches as one to listen to. Many greek words in Hebrews are not found in other places in NT. Septuagint came our of Alexandria, where Apollos was. He names Timothy and his fellow worker, not his son as Paul would have said.

Another theory is that Paul was so hated at that time he didn't want to put his name down for fear of disbelief or acceptance. Luke was the one who translated into Greek. Ref. The Ante - Niceness Fathers vol.2, p. 579 Kjv by Dake Jennings. But is it so important that it will affects our salvation? No.😁❤ 💖💖💖💖
