Hey Mayank, really love all your videos. I am confused between the MIF and MIM program at HEC. I have a business background so from what I heard the first year doesn't really teach you anything new. Can you make a pros and cons video about doing 1 or 2 years degree at HEC

Come to France with B2 or C1 level certification in French. Otherwise you are always loosing something and loss grows exponentially.

@@free_soul9154 You can't exactly get to B2 level without being in France first in that short order. What is realistic is getting to B1 level before going to France and then use the classes that HEC and Essec provide you to get to B2 or C1 level. Besides, if you're gunning for finance or Management consultancy role, you will mostly get placed in London, Amsterdam, Belgium, Luxemburg or Dubai. My suggestions on mim programs in france- 1) Get the HEC-Yale Dual degree. You'll get a 3 year work visa in USA and you'll have networks in both the regions and you're bound to get a job. 2) Essec has the apprenticeship path where your tution fee gets paid by a company and you get a stipend every month. You literally cannot lose anything from this arrangement. 3) Insead MIM. Insead has an impeccable employment report and it is famous for placing outside france. In this program, mastering one language is a must. So, you will learn french by hook or by crook.

Hey Mayank, I would really appreciate your advice as I have been admitted to both the HEC MIM and INSEAD MIM. How do you think the two schools compare and which would you recommend more.

Both of them are really nice. If you are a quick learner then you can consider INSEAD coz it's of 10-12 months. If you want to learn and do an internship along with your studies then consider HEC Paris. I am also targeting HEC, ESSEC, and IESE.

Insightful! But MiM seems to be only somewhat valued in Europe. Its mostly pursued by international students as a way to get into european countries. If you join a regular job, you'll get beginning level salaries at the same level of undergrads who come out of prestigious schools from that country. It makes sense if you're coming from a tech background liek yourself, but doesnt it just make sense to wait and do an MBA? A comp sci grad definitely can easily get a job in marketing consulting etc with enough viability in their profile. Still not really convinced with the MiM. I'm graduating this year and want to go for a masters in 2024 but cant decide which one
