However when you look at the numbers, they’re not bringing this to the market to appeal to their core audience that has been carrying P2000SK or P30SK for all these years. To them, that idea would’ve been snuffed out very early in any brainstorming a new model. All the rage is striker fired micro 9s and they wanted a to steal crumbs off of the P365 plate versus make a movie for the true fans 🍿 This is the JJ Abrams of HK.

I’m thinking HK VP9SK OR. I have the VP9SK 2018 model. Carried it every day for five years since 2019. Right over 3.2K total rounds fired. James Williamson broke it down and cleaned it around 2K. Correctly reassembled it as it had not properly been done prior. Trigger looks damn good on the CC9. Might have to pick one up after it’s been out a little while.

I have a Taurus G3C that I keep loaded in the bathroom cabinet. I paid $215 plus tax on sale for it. I didn't want to leave any of my more expensive pistols in the bathroom. I sometimes take it out and use it for a boat/fishing gun or a gun to have on the tractor with me too. Use Sentry Solutions Tuf Cloths on it to prevent rusting.

I carry my HK45c every day but this thing (looks only) is like a cross between a walther and a Taurus. It has that weird stippling like the vp9 has that looks just like walthers slick stipple pattern. The rest of it looks like a dang Taurus. I can’t figure out why they went to that pattern and away from the p30 (almost hairy feeling) stippling. I love that p30 texture. And no hk paddle? Whyyyyy?. The trigger looks dang good though. Great video as usual man.

I always give a little bit of extra credit for *usable ambi controls. I'll take a pic rail when I can get it but considering there's not a whole lot of great accessories to put on something that small plus losing compactness it is not a must. My extra long skinny alien fingers need all the trigger length of pull and surface area I can get, so back straps are great. A large and high cut trigger guard is appreciated. A finger groove is not bad as long as it's not like the old generation Glocks. But after deciding my 365 was too small, I've nestled quite comfortably into my Shield Plus and don't feel the need to buy anything to replace it.

@ryand.38582 ай бұрын
I’m just going to say it, we wanted the SFP9CC, not this. This gun is designed and built in the US and is not the same gun Hk has been showing off the last couple years. The gun we wanted is being built in Obendorf to fulfill German police/government contracts. It’s obviously not being made in large enough quantities to allow for export to the US civilian market. I think what happened is Hk showcased the contract gun at international gun shows and noticed the large amount of interest US customers had in the gun. I think mothership told Hk’s US branch to put together a similar (very broadly speaking) product for the US market to capitalize on this interest and this is what they came up with. Arguably not a bad gun but definitely not what people were hoping for. It’s a bummer.

@@TheHandHistoryVault yeah this doesn’t offer anything to the HK fans because it doesn’t have a paddle, isn’t made in Germany, and is ugly to anyone that thinks HK’s look good. And then it doesn’t offer anything to non-HK fans either, because why would they pay extra for a gun that’s just like all the rest already on the market? So who’s it for?

I am a HUGE HK guy, waiting for this for years and then they dumped the paddle mag release which all my HK have and I love. Making it not intuitive so I am sticking with the FN Reflex for small CCW. Actually angry they did this as the SPC9CC for overseas market is the one I wanted to come to USA.

I think We'll eventually get the SFP9CC (VP9CC) but it will take a few years after european military and LEO is done testing them. If germany export laws are a problem, I don't see that there would be a problem making it in house in the USA to circumvent those export laws.
@f308gtb19772 ай бұрын
I am skeptical about us getting that because of the magazines. The CC9 mags are not paddle-mag-release compatible, so there would be a whole second line of mags for the SFP9CC in the same market then. Not that they couldn’t do that, but I just think they probably wouldn’t have introduced this line if they were ever bringing that one in. I think if they ever intended to bring the SFP here, they would have made these CC9 mags work in both.

I couldn't wait for the SFP9CC, got the P30SK. Slightly smaller than the VP9SK, thicker than the CC9 by about .25". I swapped the floor plate from the 12 round mag with a flat floor plate from a 10 round mag for better concealability. Also comes with a 15 round mag. Paddle release is another big plus for me. No optics cut model available, shouldn't matter at 7-10 yard engagement.
