Hecla Mining Company - 125 Years of Mining

This company really is amazing. My grandfather lived in mullan, Idaho for over 20 years and he would tell me stories of how the mine built the community a pond for families to fish and they do an insane amount of stuff for the local school like building the a basketball court and stocking it full of gear. I have one of their lucky Friday mine shirts and the quality of the material says a lot about the company. Forever will all 1300+ of you be in my prayers.

It's kind of funny they "stole" the Hecla name from a very profitable mining company, I'm guessing to help get investors to invest. The Calument and Hecla company in upper Peninsula Michigan was one of the most profitable mining companies in the 1880 to about WW1. They mined copper. They survived to 1968.
