Hector was the best. He owned his audience. He could be near the knuckle but never nasty.....plus he was actually funny! Sadly missed but fondly remembered.

My auld man asked if Hector Nicol was on YT? I said 'who?' And then proceeded to look. I am glad I did. An old school comic at his best! I had never heard of him before today. A proper scream!

If you listen to all the other comedians they are all based on this great man. He was never really recognised for how good he was. Very rarely used bad language, good comics don't need to swear.

Surprised that Hector could hold a tune so well. Ok not a brilliant voice but very listenable, there’s no earache at all, and a guaranteed laugh. I’ve got his LP’s weans, ask yer granny. RIP funny man❤️🕊️👍
