Thanks! If you have recurring payments being received from customers, and they are recorded as paid in the recurring payments section, how are these transactions feeding into the books? In other words- if the recurring bill for monthly storage fees come in via check, CC and ACH, how are these not getting double counted by getting categorized in the bank feed as well as checked off in the recurring transaction list. hopefully this makes sense

Can I delete a recurring transaction template without removing previous transactions that are in my account register?

How can I keep recurring transactions that are similar together? Like all my payroll entries, all my journal entries, all my bills? I used to be able to move the transactions in the list? What is the best way to organize them now? Thank you!

Hello Hector, I have a question. I am utilizing the recurring function for our monthly lawn invoices for our customers. My question is this, when setting up the template Will that date change once it gets ready to process the following month? For example, I set up the invoices template for the customers with the month of June, once they process for July would it reflect July? If not, what would be the ideal solution for this situation? I recenlty converted to the Online version from desktop. The primary reason for the change is to automate the process and eliminate the manual part of posting charges every month. Thoughts?

We are starting a business with a labor only charge. We created a estimate for 12 weeks for 2 techs, and I want QB online to send a recurring invoice every week (for the 12 weeks). I can change the estimate to an invoice if accepted, no problem. If and when the customer pays the weekly invoice, will it show me a 1/12th --> 12/12th deduction on the over all invoice? insuring it is being paid. So I guess my question is can I link the recurring weekly payment to a invoice? will it show the process of being paid off? Also this will be an continuous extended contract (hopefully). Is there any advantage to weekly/by weekly/monthly billing? with the computer doing the work I would think you would have you earned money faster. If it was the old days you would have to pay a person 4 times a month to hand write out a invoice or cheaper to do it 1 time a month. Thank you for the explanation of recurring billing in QB's

If you create 1/12th if the invoice and mark it recurring to be sent automatically AND connect QuickBooks payments for them to pay you electronically, technically you can semi-automate this.

Thanks, I love your tutorials. I finally figured out how to use the Sales Receipts, as my client does an auto draw from her clients and we now just send a Sales Receipt instead of an invoice and then notice of payment... Basically I just set up a recurring Sales Receipt that emails out on a monthly basis - but you may wish to include it in your tutorial if/when they make updates as it was not completely simple for me (I'm self taught). Thanks again!

The type of transaction you are on probably can’t be made recurring. Or you have the simple start subscription

Thanks so much Hector! Your videos are AWESOME! One question... in QBO, can we create a group (or batch) of recurring transactions? For example, can I bill say 10 clients the same thing each month in just a few clicks? Thanks for your help!
@HectorGarciaCPA8 жыл бұрын
No... each bill is a separate recurring transaction

Without the ability to auto match recurring payments with recurring invoices, this seems pointless as an invoicing system.

If you got recurring payments, then just create the sales receipt, and not the invoice
