This is more tense than a thriller film ! I couldn't believe how determined Effy was....but then I thought :- if they were out in the wild the baby would be in danger if left out of the nest for long. I also didn't realise that the baby had hard spines when so young, I expected them to be soft . How long does it take for them to harden after birth ? I follow you on Twitter (I am @L_AQUARELLISTE ) and didn't know you had a YT Channel ! I have subscribed so that I can keep up with you on here too !

The white spines they are born with are soft, then the brown spines that grow in a week after birth are harder. But even a soft spine held erect is very sharp and hurts!
