Be glad this band isn't still making the same type of music. This shows variety. Their old stuff is great, but realistically they would get bored of making the same stuff, and it would be less challenging. You don't have to like their new stuff, but learn to appreciate it. If its real instruments you are complaining about, know that TONS of instruments are used even in new music. Effects are added to give a unique sound that you wouldn't hear in all music. I do love this song though.

My daughter put this song on my play list and it pulls at my heart as I listen to it and the memories of us living in Riverside flood into my mind. These memories bring smiles and tears to my eyes cuz currently my girl is avoiding me and disconnected by choice. I love the notion that there are better days ahead. I've been getting bullied since I was 4, I'm now 13. my parents got divorced when I was 6. My uncle committed suicide 4 years before I was born. My pet died, my sister is moving away to college...i''m deppresed. My life is falling apart, and i'm only 13. Edit: since I posted this comment. I’ve moved. I had 3 cats. We had to get rid of one because we were only aloud 2 pets where we moving. Then another didn’t adjust well. So I only have 1 cat left. (The other 2 went to a good home.) I only moved 25 minutes away from where I use to live. So I can still see my friends here and there. And I’m away from all the people that bullied me. I am now 14. (I’ll be 15 in July) But I made a lot of friends at my new school and I’m not getting bullied or harassed. I became friends with 2 guys. I’ve always wanted to have a guy friends in high school. I told one of them I liked him. He told me he liked me back. I remember calling one of my friends from school that was in our friend group (it was me her and the 2 guys) and i told her. I literally had happy tears going down my face, and my friend said she could hear how happy I was. Me and him aren’t together yet because he has a girlfriend. But he said they are going to breakup because they haven’t talked in a month. And I actually know his girlfriend (she went to my old school) he is protective over me but not too protective (a cute protective) he will purposely make me “annoyed/ mad” cause he thinks it’s cute ( I’m not seriously mad because it makes me laugh.) we’ve hung out twice after school. I also have 2 of his hoodies that i sleep with at night. Yes there are some days that i just hate life. But my better days are starting to come. I love school now. And I feel free, now that I don’t have people harassing and bullying me. And for all the comments that told me to show them that I am better and that I can go somewhere in life. I’m thinking about becoming either a forensic scientist/ crime scene investigator or be a FBI agent. Edit 2: I edit this not so long ago. But so many things have happened. One thing that happened was a big argument between me and my crush. He randomly told me that he didn’t like me anymore and after an hour of talking about it he said we could start over the next day and actually date. So they next day we did. But after that day I asked if we could ft because schools are closed he said don’t know. Then he said something else. Then said he lied to me and didn’t want to be with me he just wanted to make me happy (in the beginning when we told each other we liked each other he did like me cause we told each other in February) I was really hurt that he lied to me. But I didn’t do anything bad, I just talked to people about it and just focused on my dreams. Me and him both decided to stay friends because we were really close before all of this and promised each other that if anything happened no matter what we stayed friends. Another thing that happened was me and my mom talked about my childhood, cause I had just recently went to my dads who I’m not the closest to. She told me that I actually had been bullied since I was 2, which now that I think about it and remember things it’s true. She also told me that when I was born my dad told her to take care of me and he would take care of my older sister. My mom told me how she always use to protect me.....my dad can be mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive. Me and my mom’s conversation went on for a while. Our past might tell our story but don’t let your past decide who you will be (as in personality, and how you live, and your job) I’ve never done cheer a day in my life. I’ve always danced. But hopefully in the summer I will get the chance to tryout for my high school team. I’ve talked to the coach and she said I’ll be fine. (I can’t tumble to save my life but she said they have a lot of girls that will come in with no tumbling and learn and still make the team) Go out and try something new. Live the life you want. Don’t let anyone tell you other wise Thank you so much for all the comments. Maybe In a few months I’ll update this comment again if I remember Edit 3: well, yesterday was probably the worst and scariest day of my life. Long story short my dad got mad at me about something stupid and I tried standing up for myself. He told me to go upstairs but I didn’t feel safe so I said no. He walked up to me slapping me across the face, then told me to give him my phone I said no because I didn’t feel safe he grabbed me and tried taking my phone. I started screaming at him to let go of me and get away from me. My step mom had to pull him off of me and stand between us until I got outside with my step sister. I started having a panic attack he wanted me to get in the car with me I told him I wasn’t getting in the car with him he gave me my phone back because my mom told him too (he called my mom but left out the parts of him slapping me and grabbing me) my mom came and picked me up....worst way to start my summer vacation (it was my last day of freshman year) I am still shaky, and I have a few bruises/ starting to get bruises. But I know I won’t have to deal with it anymore and my little sisters will hopefully be safe after

Maria García Sánchez I'm trying to stay positive it's just hard to do sometimes. Something that I do to make me happy is dance..... I'm dancing 3 nights a week, and it's making me happy... kinda. Dance is like telling a story but not saying a word. your useing your body to tell the story. Dance is apart of me ive been dancing sence i was 4 and like I said in my comment before i'm now 13. Ive been dancing as long as i been getting bullied. And i honestly think thats one of the things that keeps me going. Let me tell you something: people who face no pain or difficulty in their lives are empty shells. Anyone who has experienced pain knows it's not easy but also wouldn't give up the strength it has given them. It's almost a requirement to become truly compassionate and to have some real heart. To become human. Trust me, I've been 13 and I'm now 19. Life's a constant shift between good times and bad times, but it really does depend on you when it comes to how you face it. @@megankamm6980 First of all perspective: you've seen nothing compared to your entire life and some people have it worse than you. Not to say your problems are not justified, because they are, but now that you have perspective, I can't just tell you HOW to use it to your advantage but I can give you an example from my experience: I have never had the romantic/love/sexual/partying/alcohol side of my life which is in part because I am gay and in part because I am not interested in flings but in serious committed relationships. I felt awful and depressed about it in the past but now I realise how much better I am because of it: instead of spending time in that aspect I spent time making myself a better human being: I learned to program, which led me to my course of studies now in University; I learned to play an instrument and I studied music; I learned digital art, game design, scuba diving; I volunteered, I worked my butt off for scholarships, I sold a program at age 17 to a software company, etc. Fact is I worked my ass off BECAUSE I thought I was "losing out" on what others had. But while they were out partying or having fun or experimenting drugs and alcohol, I decided to work on myself. I turned the depression and the regret for something I had no control over into a strength I am madly proud of today. You can do the same, so just get out there and do it :)

I remember a few years ago I was in a really bad place I was self harming and attempting suicide, I didn’t have friends and my dad had left, my mom and I would always fight and my brother would insult me a lot, so sometimes I would listen to this song and hope, and three years later I’m making friends, have a good relationship with my family, my dad came back, I’m waking up early and exercising, and I’ve never felt better, so when I got recommended this song again hearing it instantly put a smile on my face, I’m saying all of this to say that better days are not so far away.
