6:46 *Gary Morris - Wind Beneath My Wings" , he sings it like he just wrote it because he was a songwriter in a room next door to the pair of writers in Nashville who _did_ write it! Of course it would go on to be famous as the movie soundtrack to Beaches(1988), and sung by Bette Midler. Here in this vid, before singing it Gary explains the story of how he came by the song - *Gary Morris - "Wind Beneath My Wings" & Interview (Live on CabaRay Nashville)* And a great follow up vid- *Keith Whitley & Gary Morris (1986) Grand Ole Opry Live* Side Note: [incidentally, I thought Buck Owens introduced Gary as Gary Marks, not Morris. I do. I have nearly a dozen shows featuring his appearances on Hee Haw. Unfortunately, much as I'd like to, I can't upload my collection to KZbin. Ryman, the copyright holder of the Hee Haw properties, is very aggressive when it comes to enforcing copyright, and has worked with KZbin to shut down many accounts featuring significant Hee Haw content. I don't want to push my luck.
