From what I understood when playing sorc is that you get to a lot so your whole combat is supposed to be a bit of a gamble. You the big hits and then evasion helps with the smaller stuff. DR was always a "tough guy/gal" stat. Think Valk/Warrior/Nova succ. It seems thematically inappropriate to say a sorc should be reducing damage from hit rather than "getting out of the way" of a hit so I think they trying to adjust it to fit with that more. Any outside observer of the game would list ninja/kuno, sorc, lahn, tamer, mystic/striker, hash, ranger, and Archer as thematically Eva classes. So if those classes are going DR it would probably be good to make adjustments to their performance with those stats. Imagine a warrior be benefiting from a Eva build the most. You would probably think "that seems wrong"

In old school runescape they only release updates after a poll. The poll has to reach 75% positive votes in order for the update to go trough. I wonder if such a system would make bdo better. Edit: I'm fully aware this would never in a million years happen lol

Is 6% eva buff really enough to make us tankier than dr builds though ? And is it worth losing some ap for as well ? Jw cause i went on garmoth and compared max eva vs max acc and its still a 50% hit chance and thats vs eva meme.... so why go eva at all anymore ? As sorc, I get, i get it. You want to break your fingers to get kills... instead of breaking your fingers to stay alive and get kills. I love to break my fingers too and I'm alive more often too. The style of sorc I was playing was always go nuts and gamble with unprotected stuff, it was fun. Now it is more fun for me, less fun for ppl how used to grap me and want to finish fast. After rework sorc is much easier to maintain shards, evade with and tons of mobility, sa trade is good vs other sa traders. I see now, I was trying to play SA trade before without rly been able to, i feel almost imba atm xD Still getting rekt in rbf

About the evasion thing: i was talking to a sorc streamer (gazthorn) and this evasion passive is apparently about the other evasions (long range evasion/ short range evasion/ magic evasion), the same stats affected by sorcs selfbuff (< or > +LMB) so it doesnt matter if ur dr or evasion because it doesnt affect the "evasion" stat

100% agree I really really loved PVP and played it a fuck ton 1,5 years ago but with the improvement of gear and the dominance of SA rotation and SA block and with the rise of resistance I really started to hate pvp especally 1v1 cause it feels like you have no chance and your just getting gearchecked. It was a lot easier back then to just get gear instead of putting in the efford to perfect your playstyle. And I feel like they shift it even more to that point. Even CC resets wich Sorc had one of the hardest to pull off back in the days becomes super easy these days and Its just frustrating. I gave a lot of feedback wrote like 3 Tickets per patch and nothing came of it instead of keeping the things that make sorc special like the gaps that you had to play around (wich is in my opinion one of the hardest things to learn, without just burning your stamina) They give her sa so she can rotate sa and Iframe 24/7 like all the other classes these days. But I think its a diffrent problem. By bringing so many really strong and dominant classes like sage, Nova, Corsair, striker, warrior... into the game you have to either nerf these classes and make them less broken or just buff everything else. And if you buff everything every skill in your kit gets sa and insane damage. I got a bit off track there :D but I hope they change sorc a bit I personally would love to see a strong black hole or high accuracy modifier for preawakening skills or something just not a boring to play sorc rn that you learn in 2 weeks :(

all these new updates, in the end you will be playing in caped siege and caped nw if the update actually do come to the official server, gear progression become useless to if all nw/siege content is caped, what left? few uncaped nw/siege content make all years of you gaining better gear become completely useless, they ask you to go street war instead with all those gear, these new update? useless if the nw/siege is caped to, dosent matter, all will be CAPED.

Sorc was too uninterractable for too long of an extended period. Being a permanent threat that can ignore multiple enemies attempting to interact with them for 15 minutes straight was bad design.

@@timothyparks31 except they added one Super Armor and one downsmash, pruned a low skill cost style skill with low kick, and sorc still takes like 2k skill points to have everything we need to be "full build" while new classes need about 1500 to be full build. They didn't address any of our cote issues until recently with the block breaks and resist changes, and we still have no way to deal with gauntlet classes, they legit just take no damage at equal gear. It low key sounds like you don't even play sorc but are here commenting on a sorc video and I'm not suggesting the rework is objectively bad, but it didn't address the issues that we had concerns with. No sorc worth a shit was like, "we need more protection and an evasion passive". Just because they ported it to console years after PCs release doesn't mean PC players should have to sacrifice playstyle and fun, I already know console is a very small representation of the player base but keep white knighting for PA king.
