A thing that bothers me with this origin story, is that Zetsu says that he tried with many other reincarnations to revive Kaguya, but we don't really see other characters besides Indra, Asura, Madara and Hashirama, which is convenient that it didn't happen since 2k years ago. You'd think those reincarnations would be important as well. Also, a theory that i found out recently, and one that can be just a big plot hole, Zetsu couldn't have possibly changed the stone tablet's writings because he can't fking read it, he doesn't posses sharingan, nor rinnegan. And how couldn't Madara, such a genius and a demi-god, see he was being manipulated like a clown? His visual prowess couldn't see that the stone tablet was tampered with? Another question would be, what exactly did Zetsu changed in there so explicitly in order for Madara to think "oh, yes, i need to get Hashirama's flesh implanted into me so i can be the sage of the 6 paths"? I don't think it literally states those details, they speak in metaphors, it doesn't make sense how did he come to that conclusion.

I understand that the easy answer would make sense, but the official source, that is the manga, never even addressed this, on the contrary. No source tells us that BZ manifests visual powers just because he was created by Kaguya. The show is contradicting itself and leaves a big plot hole in the story.
