All the respect for women in heera mandi, but 2 minutes into the show and I hate how Momin has used the phrase "Amma apnay andar ki Malika jan". Loved the show and all, but stop glorifying those women. Also, I respect Amma, and even if don't no one should be compared with those women.

From the beginning heeramandi series had dirty scenes in it. The actress wear saris, drink alcohol and dance to hindu festivals. Bhansali had no right to make a film on Pakistan. We are being shown in a dirty negative way. Every Pakistani should complain to netflix. Which is an american company. Saying heeramandi is a rascist derogatory portrayal of Pakistan by indians.

Are you sure you know enough? Sari is commonly worn by Pakistani women during special occasions especially Punjab, not to mention cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi had a significant Hindu and Sikh population that impacted overall culture. Same goes for alcohol, common in elite circles and tawaif cultures anyway. Hindustani classical music and dance was again a major thing amongst elites of Punjab (it obviously has Hindu roots). So? Please educate yourself on basic grounds!

Well I have to say Alamzeb ke liye Aditi Bhatia (Ishita ki beti thi jo Roohi) wo finalise hui thi. magr phr bhi Sharmin Segal ka SLB nay 17 baar audition liya aur role is ko de diya. and I am sure if Aditi could make that role happend to her. it would have had blast. she is much younger thn shamin segal and Husan toh uska MashaAllah hai. acting wise bhi wo boht boht boht behtar hai kiyun ke 3 saal ki umar se dramas main acting kar rahi hai.

Why are Pakistanis so critical of everything, it’s a tv show not a historical documentary. do u think kashibai and Mastani danced together for Baji Rao , ofcourse not. But that’s called cinematic liberty to make something look larger than life which is basically SLB’s strength. Just because the movie is set in Lahore doesn’t mean people have to speak Urdu, Lahore wasn’t even originally Urdu speaking,it’s a punjabi speaking area

If Something that grand is made, it should be based on FACTS. It would be more REALISTIC and BELIEVABLE than. These were the main features of this show: Poor script FAKE Lahore. Ugly looking heroine Bad Urdu accent. Much more… By the way in actual Lahore Hera mandi is also called “ BAZAR’E HUSN”. Because the woman of “Undroon Lahore are Gyms”.. There is not even one good looking girl that was cast in this show… The cast could be good looking to Indians, but it was average looking to ALL PAKISTANIS. Since Lahore was mentioned, and unfortunately the entire cast was unable to give us a VIBE that they belong to Lahore. Also the ACTING STANDARD and SCRIPT WRITING in Pakistani dramas is so high, that’s why we could not digest the Script and acting. SO THANK US FOR CRITICIZING IT, IT WILL IMPOVE INDIAN DRAMA STANDARD AS WELL.

Umm did you forget that india and Pakistan used to be one country and during that time everyone was fighting for freedom not for partition and Pakistan. Partition was hidden motto until early 1940s. The partition part came into focus after 1940 when British raj used divide and rule policy when they saw the rebels are getting stronger. This story outlined 1920-1940 only. That time Pakistan was part of British Indian empire which was Bharat! Refresh your history 😅

You are right. The Heeara mandi had different culture. The culture depicted is not Punjabi or Sikh culture. When ever they show prosttitutes they show Lukhnow and Delhi culture. Heera mandi was very different place and had different aura. Sanjay Leela Bhansali must have sent someone to Lahore to visit Heeramandi.

Yh story 1947 se phly ki thi. Lhr ma havelian aaj b hain. 1947 se phly 45 to 49 percent hindu rehty thy.These ladies were used to teach atticates. they were well cultured and civilized. They pushed toward prostitution. that nath utrai was true incident. that day girl married for one day and lost virgnity. prostitute used to hide this incident. After freedom, In bhutto period all clubs, pubs, prostitution were there. In zia period he put restriction upon prostitution. Then they scattered in whole country for survival. After Zia period they started again but where they were escape. that's hw prostitution spread out in whole country.

And umera didn't say its a big mistake that her book peer e kamil was found in book store, such small details could be left out while creating sets but it was just interesting to find something that we know in a drama. We love the book peer e kamil. Its a wonderful novel.

Heeramandi with so many flaws is still a vrand project with lot of beauty fun and interesting scenes i hv enjoyed it a lot

Amma was swept off her feet after watching Heeramandi. Had to dress like Mallikajan. Leikin, pyari Amma ko kahani or bhanji ne bahut sataya 😅. Bhansali ko sochna parre ga afterall.
