CBS leaves out the part that there were video cameras showing them walking "arm in arm" and "smiling at each other" as they left the pool area. CBS also leaves out the part where the woman comes back three years later in 2020 and threatens Hegseth that she will go public unless he pays her off. Hegseth's attorney vouches for this and was the attorney who arranged the "settlement", as the media calls it, even though it was a pay off. So what we have here is simply a shakedown. The woman got her ducks in order by getting a "rape kit" done at a hospital FOUR days after the event. These details, along with the timeline are reported in the NYT today. The NYT is a liberal apologist, which is fine, and it never openly backs a Republican nominee. But it often reports events fairly and always dredges up details that other media overlook or ignore. This is why I remain a subscriber. If you read the NYT article and timeline, it's clear that this is nothing more than a shakedown. Because of this, I hope her name becomes public and she is forced to defend herself. This country needs clearer lawmaking regarding 'shakedowns'. Men are sitting ducks now against this kind of predatory woman.

I was active duty in big army for 4 straight years. It literally becomes your entire life and you are treated a more harsh/more regimented than national guard, agr, reserves. Active duty are the full time career soldiers who are the continuity in the military. No disrespect to guard, agr or reserves, but it's an entirely difference experience when it's your daily job in big army and you see every facet of the army. I don't know how he plans on handling it. It would be overwhelming.
