Takes time to get used to hearing your own language in music you usually listen only in English, doesn't it? Was the same for me with Finnish (as a Finn), at first it sounded ridiculous but I learned to appreciate it and now I love every Finnish heavy song I hear. I love to hear bands sing in their native languages. English is way too prevalent in music imo although metal is quite diverse nowadays with languages all over the world!

Imo, they have gone backwards in the meaning behind their songs. They used to sing of old folk stories etc. Now its just generic folk metal text. I loved them since their first album but the last two albums are falling behind imo.

@@Kerstlamers Maybe you should read about thematics in albums. Or maybe read about the meaning of the songs. Another completely Dutch folk tale themed one like Velua would be difficult, since almost all Dutch folk tales from the region already have a song by them.
