Matisyahu Maddox it’s because she used to be in a German Karneval club before she started Modeling (Karneval is like Halloween but you dress up like anything which looks fun and you drink a lot of beer while watching parades and dance to awful Karneval music) and since Americans do not have this she uses Halloween to compensate this. And On German Halloween you have to dress up as something scary since you dress up like anything else on Karneval. That’s why she doesn’t wear these slutty witch costumes or anything like that. It’s the day she can release her inner cologne child and be something ridiculous

She’s very aware and intelligent but not afraid to laugh at life - but also disciplined creatively to pursue a vision no matter the cost. For those questioning or crying about PC/cultural appropriation, I wonder: what about gender appropriation? Isn't it sexist for a man to dress as a women? No? Then why is it racist for someone to dress as someone that isn't of their own culture? Have the same standards for everything or nothing at all. Because a man dressing as a women should be met with the same anger you have with cultural appropriation, when, as Heidi said, she basically had such admiration and respect for the culture and that's why she did it. It wasn't to mock or be rude of someone's culture, it was because she found beauty in it, embraced it and want to share it. There is nothing wrong with that.

I noticed they didn't plug the crew who did her Halloween costume this year, so for anyone interested in the BTS -- @prorenfx (Prosthetic Renaissance Makeup Effects Studio) made her creature suit this year as well as a number of her past costumes. They're legendary already so you've probably seen some of their work lurking IG if you're into SPFX and makeup.
