@@WeirDuck gonna be an annoying nerd here but the way that kick was thrown, including hand placement, body placement and head placement indicates it's a MT kick. Shotokan fighters throw the hip at the same time as the kick, this is a MT roundhouse where the hip is thrown first and the kick gets dragged behind it like a baseball bat.

Reina was clearly a Heihachi prototype for the final product that is Tekken 8 Heihachi. I feel sorry for the pro players.

They basically made ascended heihachi playable with that power-up. That's insane, it could make him the most hype character ever if they balance him around that. I also noticed that many stance transitions were put on moves that were already popular choices for entering raijin stance. Both F3 -> raijin and 1,b2 -> raijin were a classic to catch jab checkers. It may look like they're breaking the identity of the character but it's actually hitting home in a lot of spots. Looks like they put some real thought into this.

The more I watch the more I agree with this idea, it seems the stance stuff is very strong but it doesn't seem like it'll stop you from playing very fundamental with him.

100% the stance stuff just seems like some cool new utility, but at his core he still plays almost exactly the same with the exception of omen not launching. I too spoke too soon watching the trailer and tekken talk, it seems like they just wanted to highlight his new stuff for the reveal which makes complete sense. His changes remind me a lot of kazuyas changes from tekken 7 to 8, while they’re pretty big changes the character didn’t fundamentally change all that much he still plays like the heihachi we all know

From the looks of it, heihachi is his normal self with worse poking and more opression due to the stances, until you achieve the "tranformation" by optaining 3 stocks, then he becomes a highly opressive murdering machine, that can also punish the living shit out of you, even out of his tranformation he seems to have, in my opinion, the best punishing tools. i just hope he still needs a lot of execution and good defense.

Go for it man, while they’re more execution heavy than other characters they’re not nearly as hard to play as people like to pretend they are. It’s like a real big ego thing for people they play up the difficulty to make themselves look better than they are. Wave dashing will slowly come to you and get better the more you play same with electrics

Warrior's instinct is too strong for t8. They don't have to remove it or nerf it though. Just make it so that you don't get to have access to it every match by just simply popping your heat burst. Maybe make it so that you can only gain warrior instinct stacks though very specific conditions like landing a certain move. Or make it so that the opponent decides if you're going to have access to warrior instinct that you get stacks only by getting hit by the opponent's heat burst, engagers, dash or smash. Its kinda stupid to see heihachi smoke you first 2 rounds and then proceeds to cook you on the 3rd round with warrior instinct.

@@nabedesu7708 that's why I'm saying its too strong, by only activating your heat burst you will automatically gain 1 stack of warrior instinct. Which means if you entered heat state the first 2 rounds, means you can immediately activate warrior instinct in the 3rd round after popping your heat like the situation shown against Lidia. Given matches can last up to 5 rounds, it is guaranteed for Heihachi to activate warrior instinct every match and his opponent will have to deal with that everytime

@@nabedesu7708 and even without popping your warrior instinct you still get access to his enhanced moves ex: 1,b2,2(old rage drive) as long you have a stack of warrior instinct. You don't even have to pop warrior instinct, and once you do pop it, you delete every gray health your opponent is supposed to gain the entire round.
