Heil Making The Connection - What Adaptors do You Need

I have on order a Flex 8600 radio. I have a Heil PR-40 boom mic. I can't find anyone who can tell me what cable or adapter I need to connect to the Flex radio. Can you?

Just ordered a Heil Pro 7 headset and had to get 2 different cables to go to a Yaesu 991a and a Kenwood 281a along with a foot switch to keep the hands free. Cheers & 73 from W Rusty Lane K9POW in eastern Tennessee

I have a heil hs706 that needs a new rj45 cat5/6 connector. The people at Heil even Bob Heil can not tell me the pinout colors and pin numbers, really frustrating and I don,t want to buy a new headset because I will run into the same problem. I think I heard you have an Icom IC 703 so I'm hoping you have one of these mics for it and can see the color and pin#s the plugs are clear so maybe. Do like your videos especially the ones featuring the EFHW. Thank

Thank You for the video. I picked up a second hand FT1000MP without a mic. I have a question. Can I buy the heil CC-1-XLR-YB adapter cable and FS-3 Footswitch and use a Shure SM58-LC mic with it or would I have to buy a heil mic?

The combination will work but Pro Mics do tend to over emphasise the bae response and that is not what you want on SSB. You can adjust the EQ in the radio to compensate somewhat. It would not be my choice unless I already had the bits to try it out. 73 Peter.

Hi Peter iam currently looking at getting a heil pro 7 from you this weekend.if using the foot switch via phone lead,does this act as a ptt therefore not using the other jack point on the lead? Many thanks Andy

If you can connect to PTT via another way such as accessory socket on radio, fine. You don't need to use the Heil PTT socket. Hope I understand your question? 73 Peter.
