Heinz was one of those unfortunates that was peaking just as the Beatles emerged, and was swept away with the resultant hysteria along with the likes of John Leyton, Shane Fenton, Vince Taylor, and a host of other British performers and all those American singers that were touring at the time who were named Bobby something or other.
@justayungmisfit3513 жыл бұрын
In all honesty, Vince Taylor’s undoing was his fault, he started taking acid and just wasn’t the same after, quite tragic. I still blast Brand New Cadillac, it’s rocking rockabilly that’s kicks like a mule.
@christopherpatefield61502 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I saw the Brian Hyland tour just before the Beatles broke and he got washed away too.
@winemeister2 жыл бұрын
Two quick thoughts. First, the Beatles arrival was a tsunami, nothing could stand in its way. Secondly this pre-Beatles era was quite short but also quite outstanding and would have stood up well if the Beatles hadn't arrived when they did. Tied in with that is that if the stars of this transition era had been good enough they would have withstood the shock from the Beatles, a few stars made it through. We in the UK were blessed.
