Btw, dismounted units do not have bonus vs large applied to them. They do retain their bonus because they use the same weapon dismounted. Back in the day they retained their bonus vs infantry, which made dismounted cavalry beast up spears.

Yes Heir corner camping is without a doubt an acient and most respected art in military strategy. It was fisrt recorded being used by Julius Caesar when he defeated a coalition of Arveri and the X- Men at the Battle of Cornercopia in 64 B.C lol

It's funny that the Nervii have decent cavalry, because they never fought on horseback historically. Interestingly, their neighbors the Treverii had the best cavalry in Gaul.

A lot of the units from the early factions have units based off exaggerated descriptions, neighboring factions, and units with roman or greek style armor so that they can be decent

i had somebody Pike Corner on me, i still had fun, i messaged the guy and it seemed he was new to it so i was not mad, He had an outer Layer on Normal Hoplites (he was Macedon) inner layer of Pikemen (about 6 or so units 2 stacked on top) with 2 royal pelt's in the back but he had many archers up front of it all and between the pikes and hoplites it was fun but i was playing as the lusitani so you can imagine how that went after my Slingers picked off his archers.

I think force concentration only affects 1 unit. The little circle indicates how close the general has to be to apply the buff to a unit.

The. Nervii didn't have cavalry in real life, instead they used terrain and felled trees to protect themselves (think tank traps). I wonder if CA could have increased their infantry and did away with calvary for this one faction? After all, they were the Spartans of Gaul.

I am not shure, but as far as I noticed units in wedge are less vulnerable getting charged from the front. I used it a few times countercharging vs catafracts, lost about 30 men on the charge then popped cav counter and got out of wedge. Say byebye to your cav!

Sad that great units like praetorean guard are mase less useful because of shield wall. They can actually take a charge from oathsworn and still win that fight. Wish formation attack is better.

Hey Heir, Ive been watching your vids for a looooooong time and want to say thank you for the quality up to this point. Why would you use this battle for the vid? I mean it just seems like you couldn't be bothered with telling this guy to f off and going and finding a battle where your opponent didn't play like a 5 year old. It feels kinda lazy. I wouldn't want this crap on my channel if I had one. I know you cant really pick you're opponents but why wouldn't you show a battle against a more common play style for rome? One that your viewers actually have a better chance of seeing instead of who ever this douche was that you played. Like I said before your channel is usually quality but this vid felt like you said "Well Im already here and I'm not going back" I get you will occasionally see corner campers but come on man what was this?

Nervii - more or less typical barbarian faction with weak mainline swords. In my testing they are worse charge faction, lustiniani, suebi and others outclass them.
