That phenomena, i.e. the formation of an interference pattern, is due to the single slit diffraction occurring here, it has nothing to do with Heisenberg's Principle. The practical is wrong, however, you tried.
@priyank51615 ай бұрын
It do have to do many things with uncertainty principle.. The small gape between the slit means u r able to determine both.. The position of the photon and it's momentum (with it's color (freq is related to color)) but of course it's not possible and so.. It shows interference pattern to make the uncertainty in the position

It is not uncertainty principle It is interference through a single slit Uncertainty is for eoectrons
@RajatSingh-tj5cq3 ай бұрын
Exactly you are right 👍. This set up is not for hesinberg uncertainity. Infact this is the setup of fraunhofer diffraction patten using single slit.
@Physics2001ideas2 ай бұрын
It's for a single particle and here the beam contains lots of photons
@studyhard-tl4bx2 ай бұрын
Uncertainty Principle is defined not only for electrons but any quantum particle. Photon is also a quantum particle. So, uncertainty principle is applicable for photons too. He is not wrong.
@Physics2001ideas2 ай бұрын
Yess bro I know ...even Heisenberg uncertainty principle is valid for classical particles too.. but the plank constant scaling is not visible in the classical world okay. And the width is increasing because in single slit diffraction if we decrease the slit distance the width of maxima will increase this is not due to uncertainty.....it's better to not compare it with the Heisenberg experiment.
@studyhard-tl4bx2 ай бұрын
@@Physics2001ideas Bro, Heisenberg's principle is not applicable to classical particles.. You can find their velocity and position at the same time. Because they have a fixed position wrt time. But Quantum particles are treated on probability basis. I agree with your last explanation.

Take a ball. Ask your friend to hide it somewhere in your room. Search for it with blinds on. You can use only a stick and every hit should be sharp. The ball is at rest now. Therefore, momentum is zero however position unknown. The moment you hit the ball sharply with the stick, you know the position but the velocity has changed, and hence the momentum.
