Hey, very well done. As a Pole I'm taken - even the accent might resemble the Ruthenian Polish of the past.

Thx. The accent is involuntary not perfectly polish. XD But we try our best not to sound too german.^^

This is Polish song not ukrainian.
@sangerfranord53083 жыл бұрын
The song's authorship is not completely certain, some historians attribute the writing of the song to the Ukrainian-Polish poet-songwriter Tomasz Padura. There are a lot of versions of this song, this one is about a cossack, who is in love with the ukrainia and his ukrainian girl. So this one is the ukraian folk song. But it is absolutely correct, that there are several more versions, including a polish one and it´s also correct that this song is established in polish history. Greetings from Germany.^^

@@sangerfranord5308 So, if Lithuanian song is about Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, this is polish-lithuanian song? No, bescaise author is Lithuanian and original language is lithuanian. Like "hej sokoły" author is Polish (Maciej kamiński) and original language is Polish.
@sangerfranord53083 жыл бұрын
@@berserkr6499 We never heared of this author. If you wouldt be so kind and send us a link to a good reference, we will be very thankful, so we are able to improve our research. Again... this version is established to ukrainian history. I´m sure the polish people would have preferred to sing a song about their own country. Or do you know something else about it?
@berserkr64993 жыл бұрын
@@sangerfranord5308 Sorry, you're right. There were 2 composers who maywrite "hey falcons". The first is Maciej Kamieński (Pole) and Tymko Padura (having Polish arms "sas" , but he is Polish-Ukrainian). I thought it was a Polish song, because teachers taught us this song in Polish schools, and Polish nobles loved these lands, hussars fought there and Polish magnates ruled there. The song is Polish-Ukrainian.
