I used to feel the same way. It seemed that everyone around me had companionship and I was left to myself. It made me insecure, bitter, and pessimistic. I thought something was wrong with me. A few months ago, I had an epiphany- I never wanted to be the reason someone's mood was ruined. I never wanted to bring anyone down- I wanted to lift them up. It took some practice, but I tried my best to love and see the good in everyone. I was still lonely, but I never let that affect how I treated others. Now, I have a wonderful friend group, a church community, a better relationship with my family, and an amazing boyfriend. My boyfriend has told me that every time he sees me it makes him happy; my friends have told me that I always seem to "glow" (I don't know what that means) and I'm like "portable sunshine." I don't know if you're religious, but scripture says in Deuteronomy 15:10 (NIV), "Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." If you love with your whole being, then I promise one day, you will receive the love you deserve. I'm sending you an air hug right now. I hope this helped.
