Me, too. Her songs were popular during the time I was growing up abd my parents talked sometimes about divorce Somehow, some of her songs became more than just catchy tunes; there were some real life messages in them. I never thought I would hear The Beatles and Ms. Reddy in the same sentence, though.

We children who grew up and became adults in the 1970's experienced freedoms and a simpler, yet exciting decade that our children and grandchildren today couldn't understand. We had our celebrities that provided us with great and memorable entertainment. Helen Reddy was one of them who did so. Her music truly represented the 70's style, a style that our current generations are gratefully starting to discover. It's unfortunate that we're seeing these icons of our generation fading more and more.

My top 3 favorite songs of hers is I AM WOMAN, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM and LEAVE ME ALONE (RUBY RED DRESS). I still have my 45 record of I AM WOMAN and the flipside is I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM. I am a classic movie buff and also collect autographed pictures of classic movie stars, singers, etc. I received a personally autographed picture of Helen Reddy back on 17 Feb 1998. I write all my letters to the stars personally. I like the letters to be personable. I will always treasure her picture. All the pictures that I have mean a lot to me, but mean even more when the star passes away because I will always have something to remember them by. I grew up in the 70s and there was great music back then. I remember listening to her songs on the radio when they came out. Great memories. You will be missed and always remembered. Thanks for all the great music. R.I.P.

Helen Reddy, the Australian singer whose hits included the 1972 chart-topping feminist anthem “I Am Woman”, passed away on September 29th, 2020 in Los Angeles, CA. She was 78 years old... Between 1971 and 1981 the Melbourne, Australian native had twenty-one records make the Top 100 chart, six made the Top 10 with half of them reaching #1, "I Am Woman" for 1 week in 1972, "Delta Dawn" for 1 week in 1973, and "Angie Baby" for 1 week in 1974... Besides her three #1 records, her three other Top 10 records were "Leave My Alone (Ruby Red Dress)" {#3 in 1973}, "You and Me Against the World" {#9 in 1974}, and "Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady" {#8 in 1975}... May she R.I.P.

On December 1st, 1973 it reached #1 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Tracks chart {it was the 2nd of six straight #1s on that chart by Ms. Reddy}...
