"Proof" by David Auburn - Part 1

I’ve watched as many versions of Proof as I can find on KZbin, and (in my opinion) this is the best one... including the Movie. It appears that many young actresses think they understand Catherine, but for me their portrayal leaves something to be desired. Maybe they just don’t have enough ‘bite’. They go through the motions, and they say the lines in a way that they hypothetically could be said... just not by Catherine. Ironically, they make her weaker and less complicated. Your portrayal on the other hand, was pretty much spot on. I got especially pulled in by the second act. It legit moved me, and as you can probably tell, I’m quite critical sort of person. So thanks for taking the time and energy to do that, and take care.

@@kaypop0609 - Yep Neil Patrick Harris was Hal in proof in the early 2000s for like 6 months. I’ve haven’t seen that version, nor have I ever seen it online... anywhere.

I’m Doing scene two for an acting class from this play and stumbled across your production as I was researching it. You are such an amazing actress geez. I found myself tearing up at the end. Powerful stuff. I was so moved. You are srsly going on to do amazing things, if you haven’t already! Job well done! You’ve gained a new fan in me for sure!

Catherine: Darcy Porter-Phillips. She is awesome. Focused, in the moment, a firm grasp on the character and lines... she is consistent and totally believable. This is amateur theatre?
