Hi Charlotte - you can make this box without the punchboard...measurements are on my website, but it won't have the flaps but you can add them. Otherwise, the gift box punch board is made by We R Memory Keepers, so you might be able to find one

Hi Helen, I loved this box project but found the lid was very tight to get on. I made it without the punch board so just used 12x12 cardstock and made the lid 7 1/16 x 7 1/16 as you mentioned. Did I miss something?

Hi Gail, those measurements should be right because 7 1/8" would be too loose. A trick you could try is assembling the lid whilst it is on the box - you will get the perfect fit that way. Hope that helps :)
